Birth Work That Heals,
Restores, and Remembers
My approach
As an Indigenous Birthkeeper and mother, my approach to birth work is rooted in decolonization and Indigenization. I believe that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are sacred times that deserve care grounded in culture, connection, and ceremony, not fear or control.
Decolonizing birth means moving away from a medicalized, one-size-fits-all model and returning to community-centered, woman-led care that honors the wisdom of our bodies and traditions. It means creating space for your voice, your values, and your choices.
Indigenizing birth is about weaving in traditional practices, teachings, and ways of knowing that have supported our people for generations. This may include ceremony, story-sharing, language, blanketing, and connection to land, spirit, and family. It is gentle, powerful, and deeply relational.
In every birth I support, I bring respect, cultural safety, and a heart committed to walking beside you as you reclaim your power and step into motherhood with strength and grace.
